Dec 26, 2009 · i used the barkley review cds (loaded them onto my ipod so i could listen at the gym) and attended the weekend review course for the acnp boards & passed on my first try. With consistently outstanding evaluations, dr. Barkley has presented continuing education and live certification review/clinical update courses for thousands of nps since 1998. For acute care np route, it was enough to pass my boards. Not all advocating for barkley just expressing my personal experience with their products.
Every np i've talked to has said they used barkley and it was worth it but a lot of them went to school during covid so they were forced to do online or chose to do it. The website really talks. You do not need 18 different resources. Find one good one & master that material. I personally did the barkley review & listened to audio files while driving. It was helpful but didn’t have any. Np boards review learn with flashcards, games, and more — for free.
