Malone Hall

SLI began with a mission to understand learning at all levels of analysis, moving towards a time that we can optimize learning across the lifespan. Since our launch in 2013, SLI grantees have made enormous strides towards this goal.  As we approach our 5th anniversary, our grantees will join our Belgian Beer Event to highlight their findings and discuss implications for advancing our understanding of learning.

The goal of the SLI's grant program was to generate innovative scientific discoveries about lifelong learning through interdisciplinary collaborations that span within and across the basic and applied sciences at Johns Hopkins University. Join SLI as we share success stories over the past 5 years and their implications for advancing the science of learning.

Learn about exciting work from:

  • Marina Bedny, Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences
  • Greg Hager, Department of Computer Science
  • Dwight Bergles, Departments of Neuroscience and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
  • Jim Knierim, Department of Neuroscience

Hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine will be served.  New SLI grantees are especially encouraged to attend.
