Bio

Dr. Harnett is an Associate Professor in the School of Education. She is a clinical psychologist and educator with extensive experience in higher education across disciplines and settings. In the area of education, her strengths lie in the area of curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment of learning outcomes, distance education, and faculty development and mentoring. She teaches within the Counseling and Human Development Graduate Program and in the Masters in Health Professions Education Program (MEHP), an interdisciplinary venture among multiple schools within the university. In the MEHP, she has developed and taught curricula in assessment and feedback for ensuring learning, and mentoring and faculty development.

As a clinician, Dr. Harnett’s work includes a focus on behavioral health issues of reserve military members and other first responder populations. Her secondary focus is on promoting career resilience in diverse professional populations.
