Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering
Dr. Zhang received his B.S. degree in Physiology and Biophysics and a M.S. degree in Neurobiology from Peking University. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Cognitive Science at University of California, San Diego, he performed postdoctoral research in computational neurobiology at Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Dr. Zhang is currently an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. His research interest is in computational and theoretical neuroscience with two major focuses: sensory coding in the auditory and visual systems, and spatial representation and learning in the hippocampal system.
